Larnaca – Black Cave

Black Cave Dive Site – Larnaca (Xylophagou)

Very nice area for diving! That pretty much sums it all up! There are untold ways to look at it. Favourable conditions when in other places the sea is raging, amazing rock formations that you have just got to see to believe! Sheer drops, channels and solitary rocks in the midst of all this! Don’t expect to be swimming amongst schools of fish but never underestimate this gorgeous little area! Morays have been spotted on numerous occasions a swell as other rare gems like Nudibranch and the ever elusive Dolphinfish.

To reach it you follow the highway and off-road it a bit once you are near. We include a Google Maps location on the info table below to get your bearings. Its rough though, would not recommend a normal vehicle. A 4×4 makes for an ideal ride for this place!

Keep a weather eye like every other Beach Entry Dive Site, make sure you hide your belongings well and conceal the key in a nice place. There have been known to be thefts on diver vehicles here in the past!
